I am sharing the Bill with:
Brian was in his late teens when his first band The Sequels played popular 60s covers in the Hampshire area in the early 80s. A decade or so later he was in a covers and writing 3 piece party band in Cambridgeshire called Crimson Kipper among other things.
These days Brian has taken to the road solo with his acoustic act and a whole load of new songs on the subject of life and a host of covers and traditional tunes. At home in a pub, club or festival environment his catchy, witty, personal songs will strike a chord with many.
He loves to get other musicians involved and is in his element just jamming in a tent or around a firepit.
Jonny Wallis was the front-man of Derby based 3 Eyed Fox before taking to the stage in his own right singing his own songs inspired by a life full of events for such a young man. His unique voice has to be heard to be believed and when he covers Julie by The Levellers, there’s usually not a dry eye in the house.
If you want to hear the modern interpretation of folk singer songwriters such as Roy Harper, Bert Jansch, Michael Chapman et al then get yourself to one of Rob’s gigs. Uniquely maintaining the tradition whilst penning some beautiful and breathtaking songs, full of light and shade.
This is a North Gig, see said Ill come up north
